King Abdul
Aziz University has the credit of playing a pioneering role
in establishing the science of Islamic Economics, where it
patronized the first international conference on Islamic
Economics in Makkah Al-Mukarramah in 1396H (1976). Academic
occasions related to this field followed thereafter through
the Islamic Economics Research Center, where many
conferences, seminars and colloquia were held. The following
table shows some of the main academic activities of the
Center.
