Abstract : Kindergarten students are exposed to many different situations in life that require certain skills needed to be in control of their feelings and behaviours. Several studies and publications highlighted a popular number of issues facing kindergarten students. Such problems include controlling their emotions of anger, stubbornness, and jealousy, etc. Therefore, there is a need to find the best ways to raise children’s awareness of the problems they encounter, to develop their abilities to master necessary skills, and to provide them with thinking tools and enable them to control their own behaviours. This study aims to conceptualize an educational program to develop emotional intelligence for kindergarten students, in both school and family life settings. In addition, there is a need to find the suitable educational theory that helps coordinate learning processes between kindergarten and family settings to aid in the transition of learning processes into different situations. This will help improve the application of these processes and in real day-to-day situations. Therefore, the statement of the problem revolves around answering the following question: what is the proposed image for a program based on Vygotsky’s theory and aimed at developing emotional intelligence for kindergarten students, which also involves their participation in family settings? The Descriptive Analytical Approach is suitable for use in this type of research. In addition, content analysis is used to analyse five chapters of Goleman’s Emotional Intelligence book to find the most important sub-components in Goleman’s model and determine the method of presentation in the proposed program. Moreover, an analysis is applied to the principles of Vygotsky’s theory through previous literature, which addressed Vygotsky’s theory to arrive at the most important principles in this theory and their presentation in the proposed program. Furthermore, the validity and reliability of the methods are tested. the proposed program is also tested. So is their suitability for kindergarten students. This was made through the help of a group of specialists in psychology and kids teaching. Finally, the proposed program is attached to a notification tool to determine the children’s level of emotional intelligence, the measurement of which has been confirmed to be both valid and reliable. In addition, an easy guidebook was attached for presentation by female teachers and the family. This presentation might be useful to those in charge of educating children on how to use this proposed program in the development of children’s emotional intelligence. Also, this can be useful in coordinating the educational processes between kindergarten and family settings to support the continuity of improving education in changing circumstances and conditions. Key words: kindergarten children - emotional intelligence - emotional and social learning -Vygotsky theory - social constructivism - educational programs - partnership with family - school contexts - daily life contexts.
