Abstract : Any researcher cannot ignore the importance of training. Therefore, in order to reach the effectiveness of the training process and to reach the desired results, the training must be based on a realistic and objective study on the training needs of faculty members who are the target groups at the center for teaching and learning development. Consequently, this study will look at the impact of effective training to develop the skills needed of the faculty members. Importance of the study: The research study addresses the training needs of members of the teaching staff from their point of view. The significance of this study is based on the interest of training the faculty members of the university, which is one of the most important aspects of higher education in the Kingdom. There is also, the need to develop training programs based on modern scientific foundations in the identification of training needs. Questions of the study: The study raises some questions as follows: The main question of the study is: The Impact of Effective Training in the Development of Faculty Members skills? To answer this question we must answer this question first, what are the training needs of the faculty members at the King Abdul Aziz University from their point of view? This question produces several other questions such as:  What are the training needs of the faculty members at the University of King Abdul Aziz, in the following areas: center of the development of teaching, the focus of building and developing curriculum and programs, develop research expertise, information technology, e-evaluation and measurement, development specialist, personal skills and humanity?  Are there significant differences at the level of (0.05) between the views of the members of the study population on the degree of training need on the previous topics attributed to the following: (Grade, number of years of experience in the field of higher education, the number of courses, teaching load and sex) Aim of the study: The study aimed to detect training needs of the faculty members of the King Abdul Aziz University in the following dimensions: the development of teaching, building curriculum and academic programs, development of research expertise, information technology, evaluation and measurement, development specialist, personal skills, humanity, and arranged according to their importance. Methodology, sample and research tools: The descriptive analytical method was applied to a random sample of the population of the study consisted of (255) faculty member, through structured, valid and reliable questionnaire, the data collected was analyzed by SPSS package. Results of the study: The researcher reached number of results including:  The existence of statistical significant differences in the mean scores estimates. The level of need for training in the axis of measurement and evaluation in accordance with the ranking of scientific and axis measurement and evaluation according to the years of experience of members of the teaching staff and axial (develop teaching, building, curriculum development and academic programs) and according to the number of training courses. • There are no differences of statistical significance between the training needs and the qualifications of various scientific and teaching load and sex to faculty members. Recommendations of the study: The researcher has proposed a number of recommendations including: • Conduct periodic surveys to determine the training needs of faculty members. • Ensure the development of training and identify the good training content based on the training needs by specialists at the center of development of university education or external consultants and update it periodically in association with recent developments in the same area as to contribute content to the goals of training and thus, the ability of the trainee to apply it effectively.
