Abstract	:	Abstract: the present study investigates the effect of 1/2,1/4,1/16 and 1/100 LD50 of carbon tetrachloride on the concentration of both liver glycogen and plasma glucose of albino rat .At all the tested doses there was a marked decrease in the hepatic glycogen content.The maximal decrease was given after 24 hours at the dose level 1/2 LD 50.Plasma glucose concentration showed a great increase at most the studied periods.The highest concentration was recorded at the dose level 1/16LD 50.
