Abstract : The present study aimed to identify the ‘Art Teachers’ Knowledge Level of the Artistically Gifted Children’s Characteristics in the Elementary Grades in Hail. Moreover, it reveals the differences in the degree of knowledge of art education teachers of the behavioral characteristics of the artistically gifted child according to the variables of the teacher’s gender and experience. This study used the descriptive analytical methodology. A questionnaire was designed by the researcher, composed of four domains; Each domain included (10) statements to measure the Knowledge Level of the behavioral characteristics of the artistically gifted child in the domain of learning, creative thinking, personality and motivation, and skill performance. The study sample included (102) teachers of art education teachers in the city of Hail for the academic year (1442-1443H), who were randomly selected. The quantitative data analysis used means, standard deviation, percentages, t-tests, and one-way variance analysis (ANOVA) to determine the participants’ differences. The results concluded that the degree of knowledge of art education teachers about the behavioral characteristics of the artistically gifted child is generally high, and in the four sub-axes as well. There were statistically significant differences in the ‘Art Teachers’ Knowledge Level of the characteristics of the artistically gifted child in the elementary grades due to the gender Variable for the benefit of female teachers, in the total degree, and the field of skill performance. While there are no statistically significant differences in the ‘Art Teachers’ Knowledge Level of the characteristics of the artistically gifted child in the elementary grades are due to the experience Teacher. The study recommended Increasing the professional and cognitive competence of in-service art education teachers through establishing training and educational programs to help identify and care for the artistically gifted child.
