Abstract : The Study aimed to present a proposed development research map for early childhood subjects, curricula, samples & tools through content analysis of research projects and theses at the Childhood Studies department at King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah, since launching the master program (1412 H) and the publication of the first thesis (1416 H) until (1439H). The study sample included all the theses and research projects approved by the Childhood Studies department, which are available at the library of the Faculty of Human Sciences and Designs and the Central Library of the University. The researcher followed the descriptive analytical methodology using a content analysis form as the tool for the study, which included elements of the following: research subjects, methodologies, tools used for data collection, and population and samples, The results showed the diversity of the research areas, which reached (7) namely: special education, educational leadership, children's literature and culture, growth development and human behavior, teaching and learning, education technology and child’s health. The results indicated that special education and leadership were the highest ranking in the research areas with (11) thesis for each area. The descriptive curriculum got (48) repetitions as the highest research methods followed, while the sample of individuals (59) repetitions as the highest samples targeted where the sample of children received (27) repetitions as the highest samples of individuals targeted, and tests and measures received (57) repetitions as the highest research tools used, With (32) repetitions of the rating scales and (25) repetitions of the tests, The study recommended The need to balance the issues raised between researches that meet the needs of the community and the topics circulated on a regional and global scale promoting communication between universities and departments responsible for early childhood for scientific benefit, exchanging research experiences and initiation of research activities, following up the progress of research in early childhood departments at Saudi universities, and benefiting from proposed research map based on study the results.
