Abstract : This study addressed the issue of illegal trade in arms and ammunition under both the Saudi law and international organizations and conventions, through presenting and analyzing this crime in the Saudi Law and discussed the attitude of Islamic law and methods of combating it in the Saudi Law. Also, comparing this crime with international organizations and conventions with the aim of identifying any weaknesses and shortcomings of the national law, and keeping up with international development in this regard. Moreover, the study developed proposals and solutions to limit the spread of weapons and related crimes. This study was divided into three chapters. The first chapter defined the crime of illegal trafficking in arms and ammunition, and the second chapter dealt with criminal liability for the crime of illegal trafficking in arms and ammunition in terms of the elements of liability and penalties imposed on it in the Law of Saudi Arabia. The third chapter dealt with international cooperation in combating the illegal trade in arms and ammunition, dealing with international treaties and conventions and mechanisms to reduce the crime of illegal trafficking in arms and ammunition. Finally, the study was concluded with a presentation showing the most important findings and recommendations.
