Abstract : This study deals with the rights of juveniles under both the Saudi legal system and the Convention on the Rights of the Child and that through represent and analysis of the most important legal safeguards enjoyed by juveniles in the Saudi legal system during the different stages of criminal proceedings compared with the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Therefore, the aim of showing and evaluating the weaknesses and shortcomings, if any, and their compatibility with international development in this regard. Also, develop solutions and suggestions to ensure the maximum safeguards to achieve the highest stages of criminal justice for juveniles. This study is divided into three chapters, the introductory chapter deals with the criminal responsibility of juveniles, then the first chapter deals with the legal safeguards for juveniles in the stages of evidentiary and investigation. Then the second chapter deals with the legal safeguards for juveniles in the trial phase and beyond. Finally, the study concludes with the main findings and recommendations.
