Abstract : The Impact of Human Capital on Economic Growth in Saudi Arabia (Standard study for the period 1986 – 2016) Omar Abdul Aziz Al Amoudi Abstract Investing in human capital through education is one of the most important topics in the economy. Education is one of the most important factors driving economic growth. It focused mostly on the accumulation of human capital as a source of accelerated growth. This accumulation of human capital requires spending and investment on education, which reaps its returns through economic growth. The study aimed to show the impact of investment in human capital on the economic growth in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the period (1986 - 2016), by measuring the contribution of each of the indicators of the educational system represented in the number of Saudi workers, and the number of enrolled in different educational stages, Spending on education, and university education outcomes on economic growth. The linear regression model was estimated using the fully corrected least-squares method and the distributed slow-down model (ARDL) as a co-integration method, and variable stability testing using ADF and PP, The study concluded the strength of the relationship between education indicators and economic growth, as well as a positive and statistically significant relationship between the number of Saudi workers in the public and private sectors, In addition to the existence of a strong positive relationship between the number of enrolled within the different educational levels and GDP and has a statistical significance except those enrolled in secondary school where it appeared negative relationship with GDP but has a statistical significance, as spending on education affects economic growth positive relationship as the more spending On education has increased GDP and has a statistical significance, Finally, the study found that higher education outputs represented in the number of university degrees contribute positively to GD
