Abstract : This study aims to investigate the role of on-job-training programs through recognizing the relationship between training dimensions (i.e., type of training, duration of training, selection of trainers, identification of training needs, and evaluation of the training process) in raising the efficiency of staff performance in order to achieve the Saudi Vision of 2030. Along with the research aim, a descriptive survey research approach was applied and a questionnaire with 37 questions had been designed. The study population had included 423 employees of both gender in the Ministry of Labor and Social Development in Jeddah while the sample of the study contained 175 administrative employees. By applying The Statistical Programs for Social Science (SPSS), survey data and information were analyzed and the tool had been verified for reliability and validity. The results of this study indicate that the training program, which is based on modern and developed methods, contributes to raise the efficiency of employees’ performance. Moreover, there are statistical significant differences for the role of on-job-training programs in increasing the efficiency of employees’ performance in governmental organizations to achieve the Saudi Vision of 2030 due to the variable of gender, in favor of males. Furthermore, there are no statistical significant differences due to the other variables (educational level, social status, number of training courses). In the light of the results, the study highly recommends the necessity in determining the training needs of the employees through a periodic evaluation of performance. Also, it is recommended to study and evaluate the effectiveness of training courses constantly.
