Abstract : This study aimed to know the effect of teams work on the performance of security patrols in Jeddah, the Security patrols are the backbone of the police force, It roams the streets and neighborhoods day and night to reduce the chances of committing the crime and eliminate it in its infancy and to achieve security and safety among the members of the society. The study used descriptive analytical approach,. It also used the questionnaire as a key tool to collect the data in this study. The study community included the leaders of the teams in the security patrols in Jeddah, where the number of them was (160) leader, this study was carried out by a comprehensive survey of all members of the society. The return of the analyzed questionnaires was (150) that was (93%) percentage. The study reached a number of results, the most important of them were: The degree of availability of the elements of the teams in security patrols in Jeddah (average), with an average of (3.2) and a deviation (0.8102),also The extent of the need for the use of teams in security patrols in the governorate of Jeddah (high) with an average of (3.6) and deviation (0.6099), The results also showed that the most important obstacles facing the teams in the security patrols are the lack of the number of participants in these teams, Lack of numbers of mechanisms used in these teams, the inadequacy of financial support and lack of powers granted to them, also The level of contribution of the teams in improving the performance of security patrols from the point of view of the leaders of teams (high) with an average of (3.7) and deviation (0.559545), There were also no statistically significant differences in the responses of the sample members on the effect of the teams on the performance of security patrols according to two variables (age - scientific qualification), There are also statistically significant differences in the respondents' of the sample members to (the availability of the elements of the teams in the security patrols) according to the military rank variable in favor of the members of the sample whose military rank was (something else). Based on these results, the researcher recommended a number of recommendations, the most important of them are: Increase the number of individuals participating in the teams by appointing the largest number of graduates of public security training cities in the work of security patrols, With the increase in the number of Mechanisms and vehicles by raising the amount of money allocated for the purchase of Mechanisms under the item of procurement and its adoption in the budget of public security.
