Abstract : The purpose of this study was to reveal the level of applying electronic administration and its role on the employees performance in the general directorate of passport in Jeddah through the following themes: (knowing the importance of applying e-administration on all sectors, knowing the most important factors that help us to apply the e-administration, knowing the requirements that help to apply the e-administration, knowing the main obstacles in applying the e-administration, and finally knowing the ways to improve the e-administration in the general directorate of passport in Jeddah). This study used the descriptive analysis method because it is the best to describe the basic features of the problem and analyze the applying of e-administration and its role on the employees’ performance in the general directorate of passport in Jeddah. Questionnaire has been used as a major tool for collecting the data in this study. The study population consisted of all staff members in the administrative department in the general directorate of passport in Jeddah. Participants returned 117 questionnaires total out of the 130 distributed, yielding a response rate of 92%. The study showed many results. The most important result is that the level of applying e-administration in the general directorate of passport in Jeddah was high with an average 3.7 and standard deviation 1.1954. Also, the study showed the participants response to the most important factors to improve the e-administration in the general directorate of passport in Jeddah with an average 3.6 and standard deviation 1.1282. The response of the individuals in the study sample revealed the most significant requirements that help to apply the e-administration with an average 3.8 and standard deviation 1.1282. The results also showed the main obstacles in applying the e-administration in the general directorate of passport in Jeddah with an average 3.9 and standard deviation 1.1315. Finally the response of the individuals in a study sample showed the ways to improve the e-administration in the general directorate of passport in Jeddah with an average 3.9 and standard deviation 1.0933. Based on results, the researcher has recommended a number of significant suggestions such as: giving more attention to provides the basic infrastructure for the general directorate of passport in Jeddah that contributes to activate applying the e-administration. Also, encouraging the general directorate of passport in Jeddah to attract qualified employees with the right skills in the e-administration field including trainers, advisers, and electronic design experts. Providing flexible organizational structures in the general directorate of passport in Jeddah that allow a wide area to the workers for making decision.
