Abstract : The present study aimed to review carefully the way to the goal Theory of leading in order to ensure the feasibility of the obtained assumptions and their applicability to the community of the current study, in addition to know the most common leadership styles of leaders and their impact on both the employees performance and their satisfaction level. To know how the leaders use the means and tools that help employees to achieve the objectives and to achieve their job satisfaction on the other hand. The problem with the current study is uncertainty of dominant leadership style of leaders in King Abdul Aziz University and whether they practice the most suitable leadership styles for the employees characteristics and nature and the characteristics and nature of the performed tasks by the employees from the other hand, which affects on their performance and identifies their behaviors. Also ,it doesn't know whether the leaders have the sufficient awareness about the importance of using the tools and utilities in order to achieve the goals. The study has been applied to both (managers - employees) who work in the King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah. The researcher reached the following results, that there is a relationship between the leadership pattern that followed by the leader on the performance level and satisfaction level of employees and this relationship proportional whenever the leading pattern is more proper to the employee characteristics and her tasks. And that leaders have sufficient awareness of the importance of using the helping tools that facilitate the achievement of the goals. Through the results of the study, the researcher reached to a number of recommendations perhaps the most important are: educating the leaders about the importance of the obtained results by using the way to the goal theory and its importance in enhancing the performance and achieving the objectives on the one hand and achieving the employees satisfaction on the other hand, provide financial incentives which is one of the most effective means that impact on employees' motivation towards achieving the goals, especially it is not available at the university, and provide the necessary training for both employees and leaders to develop their skills and abilities according to their needs.
