Abstract : The job performance evaluation applications is the most important factor and the main base in taking many of the decisions pertaining to the human work force, which is a mutual concern to the evaluation processors and the staff under evaluation. The researcher envisaged that it's very useful to study the performance appraisal application for executive management employees, due to its vital role in enhancing the overall job performance. The subject research comprises two aspects: academic aspect and practical aspect. The academic aspect highlights writers' and researchers' opinions and feedbacks on the importance of job performance evaluation, the elements of performance evaluation, the most common issues resulting from the assessment process, and the status of the performance appraisal in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The practical aspect is a case study that covers employees' feedbacks on the performance evaluation application from three aspects; the conformity of the application with the job description, the subjectivity of the current model and the adequacy of the current elements listed in the assessment application. The case study covered all the administration staff of Hospital of King Abdulaziz University. Population of the study was 224 male and female employees. Number of retrieved questionnaires was 135 forms, and after deleting invalid questionnaires forms for the sample analysis, it became 130 forms. The study concluded the following results; firstly: the population of the study agreed that the evaluation application is identical to the job description however, is not subjective. Secondly, the elements of performance evaluation model are not comprehensive and new elements need to be added. The main recommendation of the study is to set collaborative training sessions by the Ministry of Civil Service to explain the performance appraisal application to the hospital staff in order to provide the required clarity across the study populations. Moreover, the study concluded that it has been difficult to measure some elements in the performance evaluation application. Accordingly, the study recommends reformulating some of the evaluation elements in order to provide clarity and accuracy and help using the performance application effectively.
