The present study aimed to identify the degree of importance of the constraints of total quality management in higher education, and the actual level of applying the principles of Total Quality Management in Higher Education Applied to King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah. The study aims to answer two main questions first, How far is the importance of the constraints of total quality management in the sector Higher Education government, from the viewpoint of the research sample? Second, What is the level of applying the principles of quality management at the university, from the viewpoint of the research sample? The researcher used the descriptive method as the most appropriate analytical approaches to the study. The questionnaire was distributed randomly on the population of the study of the original members of the the university faculty. For the purpose of gathering information from the study sample, the researcher designed a questionnaire to find out how important obstacles to TQM in higher education, and used (al-Musawi, 2003 questionnaire), to measure the extent of application of the principles of total quality management in higher education, to analyze the information contained in the questionnaires the statistical methods have been used. Among the most important search results: that all constraints in the questionnaire were constraints with high importance from the point of view of the sample. According to the views of members of the sample, the principles of Total Quality Management at the University were applied at medium level, and the most important recommendations, which recommended to the researcher, the need for conviction and support of senior management for the application of quality management in the global materially and morally, and serious attention to the encouragement and funding for researches on practical field that contribute to the solution of realistic problems and contribute to the sparing use of resources and increased income for the University and the State alike. |
