Abstract : Penaeid shrimp are one of the most important resources of the costal Fisheries in Saudi Arabia and aquaculture industry especially Fenneropenaeus indicus. The principal purpose of the use of probiotics is to produce a proper relationship between useful microorganisms and the pathogenic microflora of digestive organs and their environment. This study was examined the effect of two types of Probiotic (Ecomarine 3 strain Bacillus spp, Promarine 4 strain Bacillus subtilis) on growth and survival of postlarvae shrimp Fenneropenaeus indicus. It was used three treatments (add probiotic to water only, feed only, both water and feed). This study have been shown that positive effect on growth and survival of postlarvae shrimp Fenneropenaeus indicus in both of two types of probiotic and treatments compared to control. The best of increase in average final weight 4,72 g, feed conversion rate 1.66 and survival rate (72%) compared to control were observed when Ecomarine added to both water and feed. Whereas, significant increase in growth performance, when Promarine added to feed only compared to control. While reaches average final weight (5.73 g), feed conversion rate 1.44 and survival rate (86.67 %).
