Abstract : The problem of this study is focused on the weakness of the studentُs capability in the college of education in Najran, Department of Home Economics in preparing and applying various instruments to evaluate her pupilsُ performance. Actually , educational evaluation as a course has not satisfied or achieved the required objectives. The students do not make use of it during their practice. Moreover ,it is taught as a theoretical and limited course. The student , learns it only to pass the final exam without being aware of its importance and in the field of education . The aim of the present study is to recorealize the efficiency of the suggested program in developing the competence of evaluation in the student of the Department of the Home Economics at Najran College of Education . The research follows Quasi Experimental. The Design research sample includes (26) senior students in the Home Economics Department. They have been chosen particularly for this study. The tools that are applied in the study include testing , and a measure of the attitude of the students towards the evaluation . The most important results of the research are the following: 1- There is a statistical significant difference at (0.05) level of the average of the students'/ teachers grades in pre- and the post- achievement tests in favor of the application after the exam. 2-There is a statistical significant difference at (0.05) level and between the mean of the students'/ teachers grades in the pre- and the post- tests of the attitude scale in favor of the post-application. Research recommendations: 1-holding training courses for the home economics teachers to train them to get the educational competences of the measurements and evaluation. 2-give a great interest to the application aspects in teaching the educational syllabus and linking them to the school real life to enable the student/ teacher to apply the knowledge inclusive in those syllabus.
