Abstract : The current study examined the movement of informatics in the Saudi Shura Council through the use of case study method as a method of study. It is found that the main sections related to the information and services in the Council are computer Department, information Department, library and documentations and the General Directorate of Research and Studies, in addition to the role played by the Department of translation. It is obvious that the main four sections related to associated Assistant Secretary-General for Studies and Information in Saudi Shura Council are based on its own development and capabilities to support the movement of conservation and archiving of information, documents, retrieval and make benefits of information services to support research teams or providing clear and easy information for staff in commissions related to the Council tasks. It's also interested in providing such services using modern technology which is supported by Computer Department that is interested in the technical aspects and developments. Note worthily, the experience of informatics in the Saudi Shura Council is running upon an orderly and realistic aspect towards evolution, but it still needs to pay attention to the development of service policies and cooperation with other parties, especially the libraries, similar studies centers as part of clear thought and work of professional institutional.
