Abstract : Look at Saudi academic libraries in the world of information technology This study provides libraries Saudi Academy, organizational structure and electronic systems, applications disks Alumblyzrh and the role of the King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology in the developments there until the year 2000. Was concluded study reviewed previous studies in this area have been using statistical approach by telephone and interviews of the deans of academic libraries in 2001 in order to obtain preliminary information for all those libraries in Saudi Arabia to see their ability to manage databases to take the right decisions by administrators at various administrative levels for the management of electronic journals. The most important results of the study can be summarized in the academic libraries have a minimum of infrastructure networks and online services that enable the delivery of loan services and the delivery of information and automating its various services and from 1980 - 2002. And how all these developments provided the support of the King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology in the national policy for the information in the kingdom, but those libraries with all that still suffers from a lack of policies supply kits meet the needs of beneficiaries numerical and qualitative, and the small number of specialist information qualified, With the exponential increase in the numbers and needs of beneficiaries, let those libraries to intensify their cooperative efforts and development in order to supply electronic patrols through professional associations for Publishers creates benefit and competitive advantage by reducing the cost.
