Abstract : The Islamic Economics Unit (IEU) is one of the units of the excellence Center affiliated to the Faculty of Administration at the University of Kuwait. The Centre aims at developing and training the administration responsibles at high and middle ranking levels in both public and private sectors so that they can live up to the challenges that they face regionally and internationally. From this perspective the IEU extends its services to Islamic Financial and Investment Institutions and others that have Islamic economics activities. The IEU provides services that combine administration and economic together with Islamic inputs. The IEU is a development institution in its purpose and spirit. Hence the revenues generated from its operations should not be considered commercial as such, but rather as a development and educational.
